This seminar is designed to help you understand EFCT and its assumptions and to effectively use it with your clients.  It will help you:

  • Explain attachment theory as it applies to adult, intimate relationships
  • Effectively utilize therapeutic interventions in your practice
  • Analyze negative interactional patterns in intimate relationships
  • Describe the principles and processes of EFCT

    The group size is limited to allow for greater interaction.  The course will involve a combination of lecture, viewing of tapes of therapy, discussion and practice. Participants will be encouraged to bring in tapes of their sessions with clients.  

    Upon registration, participants will be sent a dvd for study.  It will include a lecture on the theory and background of EFCT.  A review prior of the seminar will allow participants to better use the seminar.

    Group Training, Consultation and Workshops
    Leader: Joseph Dragun, Ph.D., LP

    Meetings include presentations on theory, discussions, role play, skills training and video demonstrations. Participants are encouraged to present their own cases, preferably using a video format of their choice.

    One and two day workshops are various locations. These are tailored to the needs of participants. They include 7 to 14 contact hours and can include attachment theory, EFCT process, skills training, presentations and feedback on video taped sessions.
